Esteban Ocon has been dropped by Alpine for the final race of the season and his last race for the team according to Sky Sports.

Ocon who has spent 4 seasons with the Enstone team has already signed a contract for next season with Haas, after he was replaced at Alpine by Jack Doohan.

Doohan will now drive for Alpine next week in Abu Dhabi, both in the race and the young drivers test post the end of the season.

It is a shame for Ocon to depart the team this way. He has 4 podiums and a win with the team. And has been an integral part of Alpine’s rise in performance this season.

Ocon will test with Haas next week after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
